Day5: Question about future media

I faced a laptop for a long time to keep exposed to too much information to deal with. So I went jogging for 15 minutes and got refreshed.

I suddenly came up with a question: what have we humans faced in order to get information? Through what media has information spread? And what is comfortable to face for a long time for humans?

To get to know the news, the face-to-face conversation is probably the most primitive and common since humankind was born on this earth.

We have also developed some media to convey messages and information through including stones, paper, and glass (a liquid crystal display). Ancient people wrote words on stones. Newspaper and books, letters are still popular today. After the computer was invented, we might spend the longest hour a day in front of the display.

The common thing is that everything above is originally made from natural materials. Paper is made from trees and glass is from the sand.

At the moment, it seems that we largely depend on a liquid crystal display on a laptop, smartphone, tablet, even a wearable watch and eyeglass. Media, however, should change in the future through which we get information. And it should be something come from nature.

It can be water including ice and steam, plants, flowers, sky, space, stars, a moon…

Only when a flower blooms, only when ice keeps from melting, only when it is enough dark to see stars in the sky, some messages and information will appear. Wouldn’t it be romantic?

Yes, it is not eternal, so fragile. We can’t go against nature and just wait for a while until the time has come to get a message. And that’s why we will value the message or information more.

After being patient, we can gain something really important in life.
